Since leaving my parents’ house, I never thought I’d see my yearbook again! It’s dirty, creased, torn and has detached pages, pero buhay pa. Ribo and guess what, Father Charlie (remember our 1st Friday masses, guys?) I also fondly remember our principal Mrs. Evangelista, and lahat na rin ng teachers na pinagdaanan natin. It’s been like 4 years too, since I’ve last seen this yearbook, and I am totally blown away by the things I remember from people.
Remember the Teachers’ Quarters per department? God, I really wonder why the government can’t give them a really good salary and a decent office.
Yung PEHM Department, headed by, gosh, Mr. Austria (does that ring a bell?) and the athletic teachers like Mrs. Ong (my fave), Mrs. De Sagun, Mrs. Ayende, Sir Ruta, Sir Palero, Mrs. Alberto, etc, were situated at that bodega place behind the Admin office.
The Science and Tech Sosi Group has heir little, as in really little office to fit all 22 of them along with their notebooks, gadgets (!?!?), investigatory projects, experiment materials, workbooks and all those posters made during the Science week.
It wasn’t made for humas.
Hehe. I rarely go there, natuklasan ko lang yun nung 3rd year na yata ako.
T.H.E. Dept. — Favorite ko rin to cos madami silang pakulo and pakontest. Special thanks to Mrs. Abrajano (dami magpakopya sa board!), Mr. Santos a.k.a. Poknat ng mga nagwe-welding, Mr. Estremera the Breaktime, Sir Raon the Chikiboy and Mrs. Ortiz-Ruiz na mabait kasi kahit hindi computer elective ko nun, pinapagamit nya ko. I can still smell the pangkulot, pangpedicure at baking nila dati, pati pag fe-french tip. Aliw!tanda
Then, sa portion naman ng studes, parang may kluming-kling sa tenga ko, it’s so nice to look at those young faces. Some of the people here, I still see around, at hindi ko naman sinasadya pero minsan nasasabi ko, “Wow! Lumaki ka na! Ang tanda nya na tingnan no? Di ba dati ganito ka lang kaliit?” Hindi ko naiisip na ako din pala lumaki. Hehe.
And also now I realized how expensive this yearbook is. Magkano nga pala binayad natin dun? Was it 350 pesos? And it’s not even pretty… You can buy Witch for 85 pesos and Cosmo for 120 pesos, all glossy pages.
I promise I will never lose my yearbook again.
